Listening to this on audio while some what following along in the book. I'm listening to it mostly when I'm on the computer & not listening to music. As before, the book is cute & I love the characters. Hermione has grown on me a lot. I wasn't wild about her in the first book, but by the end, I was warming up to her. I tend to lose focus on the audio sometimes and have to go back and scan the pages to get an idea of what I may not have heard or make sure I am getting the story enough to know what's going on.
I've always known H.P. just as books about magic/wizardry, but it wasn't until I picked up this one that I thought back to the first and it clicked that these books are like little mysteries but with a lot of magic and for middle graders. It's hard for me to focus sometimes because I am still not huge on middle grade but I will find some that I like sometimes & H.P. seems to be one of those. I didn't finish the Lovecraft Middle school series but I liked it & thought about going back to it. I recently bought the Series of Unfortunate Events books (I don't have them all & need to search out some of the first ones and a couple in the 'middle'). I quit reading those because the "explaining" got on my nerves but I now know to just take it one book at a time & to take breaks between them. If I read them back to back, they will start to irritate me...lol...I know why he does it, but as an adult..You can't help but roll your eyes sometimes....But um, how did I get on other books when this is about Harry Potter? lol
